A Dream of Home, Book by: Amy Clipston

Madeleine moved to Pennsylvania after the death of her fiancé. She moves into the house that used to be her Amish grandmother’s. She is looking to start anew. Working at the local hotel part-time and living in a home with no electricity. Living without the luxuries and some say isn’t that big of deal to Madeline after living the military life for so long. She soon makes friends with the neighbor’s daughter Emma. Saul is concerned though about that friendship. He doesn’t want his daughter Emma to get hurt. Saul is only doing what he thinks is best. Madeline and Saul share a little about their pasts with one another, with backgrounds so different and feelings starting to grow. Will they do what is right by their cultures?  This is the third book in the series Hearts of the Lancaster Grand Hotel Series. It is by far the best book that I have read by Amy Clipston so far. I was hooked before I even finished the first chapter of the book. I had such a hard time putting the book down. It was so well written. She has such a wonderful writing style that captures you and draws you into the stories that she has written. It is so easy to relate to the characters in her stories and the problems that they deal with in their lives. You feel the emotions of the characters, their laughter, tears, joys and heartache. This book has so much love, passion, hope, faith and forgiveness.  You won’t want to put the book down! What an excellent story, good clean Christian fiction. I love the Amish faith, devotion to family and friends.  This is a must read book. Be sure to order you copy today.  Remember it makes an excellent gift!

The Amish Bride of Ice Mountain, By:

This is book is for the adult. Not for your teenager to read. This book though well written has a definite sensual and sex appeal to it. It was definitely a different twist to the Amish fiction that I am use to reading.

Mary King is forced into a marriage with Dr. Jude Lyons when they share some very passionate kisses. He is a professor that is there studying their distinctive Amish community. Mary moves to Atlanta to start her life with Jude there. When a major misunderstanding happens she moves back home to Ice Mountain. Mary feels like she has lost her shot a love. Will these two be reunited and be able to work out their misunderstanding?

Judith’s Place, By: Diane Craver

This is another wonderful book by Diane. This is the story of Judith Hershberger.  She wants more in life than what the average Amish woman. She wants to further her education. Her father is worried that she will leave if she gets further education. A friendship develops between Judith and a non-Amish Eliza.  Each envying the life that the other has. This story deals with the struggles and conflicts when they consider joining the Amish church.

A wonderful book that makes you stop and think. There are struggles that we all go through.

An excellent story. I enjoyed reading it. Looking forward to more of Diane’s books.

She is torn on leaving her family and friends and starting a life in the English world.

She always that that she knew what she wanted in her life now she doesn’t know what to do.

This is the story of Rachel Hershberger who is feeling so over-whelmed taking care of her

father and all her siblings.  She has given up her job to try and do more at home.
